Not many things are closer to ones heart than their own ‘Abode’, a space where one can be ones true self without any intrusion. The project was to revive an old apartment space and design it as a ‘second’ home for a non-resident Indian based in the New York City. The client brief was to design a minimalist and contemporary interiors for a home away from home, best reflecting his subtle taste. As suited best to the minimal taste of our client, furniture and details have been kept simple and a controlled palette of tones of ivory has been used for most of the surfaces. To add to it a hint of play, specific walls have been emphasised with a change in palette through brighter tones.
